My story
My story
Hello, I'm Mabel. Before I tell you about my jewelry, I'd like to tell you about my mother.
The woman who taught me everything
My mother was called Joan. She wore a copper bracelet every single day of her life, right up to her 96th birthday. Not in the shower, not at night, not even on her wedding day did she take it off.
In our family, some called it a superstition. She called it a tradition. She had been given it by her mother, who had been given it by hers. A small morning habit, thousands of years old.
My grandfather's workshop
I was twenty-nine when I pushed open the door of my grandfather's workshop, a small room with walls covered in tools, left just as it was for years. I laid my first hammer on a sheet of copper.
I have never stopped. For more than thirty years I have made every piece of jewelry by hand, one at a time, in pure 99.9% copper. No machines, no plating, no shortcuts.
Why Mabel Copper
Today, my mother's bracelet is on my wrist. It's too late to tell her she was right never to take it off. But it isn't too late to give you what she passed on to me: a real piece of jewelry, made to be worn every day and made to last.
Every piece you receive is hammered, polished and checked by me personally. If it isn't right for you, you have 30 days to tell me, and I will put it right.
